Spam?

Okay so we got our first bit of spam on Saturday. Then a new bit today. I'm going to allow anonomous posts for as long as I can because so many people complained about having to register before but if I keep getting spam I'm going to have to go back to moderating comments before they are posted.

You may have noticed that I've finally got a image gallery installed. You'll need to be a registered user to post images but feel free to do so once you've joined the site.

I'm finding out that I'm having as much fun adding new features to the site as I am posting. I think I'm going to have to do a feature frease soon though.

New Spritural Home

Okay so its now official, I have a new church home. Andrea and I will now be attending Living Word Bible Church. So far my biggest surprise has been how many people assume I'm leaving Faith Christian Center because of some perceived slight. First of all it concerns me anyone who knows me could think I would do such a thing. But even more so it bothers me that so many Christian actually do leave churches because of hurt feelings that it has become common place. For the record the only reason I am leaving is because I've been lead to attend another Church.

New Year new Me?

Okay so I've been thinking what my new year's resolution would be this year. I didn't really have an over whelming need for one this year. But after meditation I decided that I just want to be happy. Not quite content, I think there is a use for being passionate about being skinnier / smarter / a better leader / richer / healthier etc... But I do think I should spend more time being happy with what I have. Sort of a stop and smell the roses kind of vibe. I looked out side and saw my neighborhood and thought about how it compares with when I lived in the Brewster Projects. I had to get on my knees and thank God for how far he's brought me over the years.

Hold the line

Okay the Serenity DVD is doing pretty well. According to Reuters Serenity was the #3 DVD for the week. Things looked slightly brighter at Amazon where Serenity was the #1 DVD for a week.

12 days of Christmas

Ever wonder what was the point to the 12 days of Christmas? If so check this out

Merry Christmas

Well we spent Christmas at my Dad's house this year. I think I can safely say it was the first time we've done that in Arizona. The Parrish clan is getting pretty big here now that I've gotten married and my sister has moved her family down here. What was really weird for me though was that my Mom came as well. So there we were the happy family my mom and dad, my sister, my niece, and Andrea. I can't remember ever having a Christmas with both my mom and dad at the same time. Andrea and my sister loved it, it just creeped me out though. Other than that it was great. Lots of good food, I had to restrain myself from eating too much (I need to lose 8 lbs over the next few days).

Big Bird Murder Link

Did anyone hear that Big Bird was involved in murder investegation? It actually ended up not being big bird but one of the puppeteer's caretakers. The article leaves a lot of questions but also makes me want to take up jogging if just to make sure my wife isn't by herself.

It'll grow on you

It seems one of the few bad reviews of Serenity has now recanted

Since I've found Serenity

Okay I'm starting to get giddy. Only 5 days till the Serenity DVD comes out. I didn't watch Firefly when it was on TV, but I got the DVD's shortly after they came out. I was a instant fan and wished the show would have gone on longer. Then I found out about the movie. I just knew the fans would make this huge. Well not that many people saw it at the movies. Of course not that many people saw any movie this year. So we're (by we here I'm refering to all the awesome fans of the show) hoping that the DVD does better. And even though the Austrailan cover seems to be better looking, I can't wait to have this in my hands - or better in my DVD. I've posted several reviews here in case some of you reading this don't know much about Serenity / Firefly.

What does Old Navy have against Linux?

Anyone else notice that you can't shop oldnavy.com with firefox on Linux? What makes this really strange is that Firefox on Windows works fine. Actually if you get the User Agent Switcher to say that you're IE on windows. (or even Firefox on Windows) the site works fine. The question is why is OldNavy not wanting Linux business? While it would be easy to put on my tin foil cap and shout out Conspiracy, this time I think its just a matter of their web developers not knowing better. A quick google and I found that Safari users are having the same problems.
