Okay so its now official, I have a new church home. Andrea and I will now be attending Living Word Bible Church. So far my biggest surprise has been how many people assume I'm leaving Faith Christian Center because of some perceived slight. First of all it concerns me anyone who knows me could think I would do such a thing. But even more so it bothers me that so many Christian actually do leave churches because of hurt feelings that it has become common place. For the record the only reason I am leaving is because I've been lead to attend another Church. Personality is not why I attend a church. Prestige is not why I attend a church. I've been a member of FCC for 7 years, a member of the mother church Word of Faith International Christian Center since 1991 and if you count Salvation Temple, which, merged with WOF in '91 I've been a member of the same church body for over 25 years. Its a little scary attending a new church. I had created a place for myself at FCC, most of my friends and a large percentage of my family all attend FCC, nearly half of the people who attended our wedding were members of FCC. Despite this I am looking forward to attending Living Word. These are not reasons why but blessings I am looking forward to. LWBC has a Business Connection / Mentorship program to teach God's way of going into business. The family Life Training looks interesting. Its only 5 mins from my home (FCC was a 40 min drive in traffic). Andrea is looking forward to the King's Kids ministry and its good to know our kids (when we have some) will have a good foundation to grow in. FCC is growing and continuing to do great things. We'll continue to pray for them and check in from time to time. Perhaps in the future the Lord will lead us back, in the meantime I'm going to find my purpose at LWBC and fulfill it, because that's what my Lord has told me to do.
