BusinessWeek: That's Linux on the Line - From smartphones to servers, the open-source system is turning up in an ever-expanding variety of products. For consumers, that's good news... [Linux Today]
Too often I hear people say that Linux can't beat Microsoft. They either don't know or have forgotten that Linux has already won in the server market and will soon outstrip Microsoft in the embedded world. That of course will lead to more desktop users. Think about it. If everything from your cellphone to your Tivo runs Linux (as well as your watch, wireless router, Microwave etc...) And you need for them to communicate with your computer, its going to be *much* easer to program those apps on Linux. This then is one major place I expect to see linux growth.
