Ubuntu + CNR.... a match made in heaven?

In case you hadn't heard, Linspire has been considering offering CNR for Ubuntu. If they do this Ubuntu may actually become my desktop of choice. I never really liked Lindows, don't know if it's because of the name or KDE, or the stupidly insecure way they deal with root access. I've never really thought it was worth converting. However, CNR makes sense to me in so many ways.  I could have a repos with browsable apps that my wife could install without me having to worry that she was going to hose her system. Along with DVD and other codecs for about $30.00 per year that's a no brainer to me.
